I Will Wait

Because I love you, I will pray. Because I love you, I will hold you. Because I love you, I will not stop. I will comfort you when he tells you he won't break up with her. I will listen when you tell me what he called you. I will wait for you to realize. I will wait for you to understand what he's doing to you. I will help you end it. I will support you when he tries to stop you. I will defend you when he tells people what you "did." I will not judge you. I will not be angry with you. I will love you unconditionally. I will wait for you to be okay. I will wait for you to be okay again. It will happen. Your day will come, his will not. Someday he will realize what he's done. I will wait for that day. I will stand by you when he apologizes. Because I love you. I will come over when you're sad for no reason. I will invite you over when you are abandoned. I will spend my days telling you it's gonna be okay. It is. I will wait for the day when it is. I will stand by your stupid decisions. I will help you correct your mistakes. I will wait for the day you can look at me and tell me you can love again. I will wait for the day you look me in the eye and I know you're truly happy. I will be with you whenever you need me. I will ignore what I think if what you think is better for you. I will love you. All of you. Forever.
