I wish

Dear junior self,
I wish you saw the beauty
in yourself.
I wish you saw the lies
that were put into your head.
I wish you saw the havoc
that you created.
I wish that you didn’t fall so deep
you couldn’t come back.
I wish you went out with your friends.
I wish you created memories.
I wish you took pictures.
I wish you saw how much this disease
consumed you before it was too late.
I wish you saw the beauty
in yourself.
I wish more than all that this didn’t
happen to you.
