I wish

I wish you said goodbye So then I could just cry and get it over with So I could stay start a fire, burn it down and the soot and ash could be my friends I wish you would have said leave So this rock could leave my chest and I could finally breathe I wish I didn't care that you weren't there, So you absence could be a normality rather than a burden I wish you were really gone So I never had to think about what would happen if we ever spoke again. I wish that you cursed my name So I didn't wonder what would happen if someone ever said it to you I wish this was the end So that I can have freedom that comes when real healing begins
