I Wish

If I had three wishes

I'd wish that there wasn't anything left to wish for

I'd not wish that all the world had eyes to see

     but that all that the unseen problems wouldn't have to be

I wouldn't wish that I could have back everything that was mine

     but that I could have kept it all the first time

I would not wish that I had the words for everyone to hear

     but that there would be no need to soothe their fears

Of all the wishes, hopes, and dreams
