I Wish
What did you see
When you saw me
Falling to pieces
Down on my knees
What did you feel
When the earth moved
Beneath your feet
When you caught me
Crying
What did it look like
How did it feel
Did it feel right
Or did it feel like a blow
To the chest
When I said
I can't do it anymore
Does it feel
Like before
How did you go from this
To wanting more
You swore
Left and right
You promised
I'd feel alright
They said
A million things to me
I stayed locked in my head
Safe and sound
And you screamed my name
Tried so hard
To fix what was broken
I'm so sorry
It couldn't be saved
I couldn't be found
I'm so sorry
Kiss my hand
I watch you cry
I wish I could understand
I wish I could try
A little harder
Wish I knew
How to be
What you knew
Me to be
I wish I could be me
Again
I wish I could kiss you back
Close my eyes
Just feel to feel
I wish I could hold in the lies
A little longer
I wish I was better
Stronger
I wish
I was better for you
I wish I knew
How to be better
For you
I wish baby
I wish
