I wish I could write a poem

I really wish I could write a poem.

I wish I could make a grand statement about the problems around me or something more important like the attacks in Paris and still manage to slip in some satire about how and why you should care.

I wish I could draw inspiration from famous poets whom I admire.

I wish I could create something admirable.

I don't wish to make a career out of it I just want to be able to write one if necessary.

I don't wish I had an audience who understood me for me.

I don't wish I could raise important questions about the way we live our lives

I don't wish I could reach down somewhere deep inside of me and write something that resenates with the reader.

I just want to know that if I'm asked to complete a simple task like writting a poem I could do so without a million rewrites and still end up with something good.

I don't wish I was born or placed in a time where my writing would be more accepted nor do I wish that my writting would last long enough to be considered great.

I don't wish to go on some social crusade and get people to believe in what I believe in.

I don't wish I had someone to teach me about how to use stanzas properly or how to perfectly punctuate them so that my vioce comes out clearly.

I don't wish I had some profound knowledge about what a poem really is.

I don't wish I had extraordinarily original idea with which to base it on.

I don't wish I could write something that will relay everything that has gone wrong in my life. 

I don't wish I could solve all my problems with words on a page.

I just really wish I could write a poem.
