I Wish I was a Bird
I wish I was a bird.
I could fly far away and never come back.
I would finally be happy, and this depression I have I would finally lack.
I would soar higher than any bird has before.
I would swoop down to the ocean and coast along the shore.
The best part of being a bird would be-
Something amazing that would bring me glee.
I would be able to escape my pain and throw it away
And in the hole of my depression my pain will have to stay.
Freedom from my pain is what I long to have.
That is why I wish I was a bird.
