I Wish I Were Strong Enough

I wish I were strong enough,

To make it through the day,

Without a tear of internal pain,

Without the inner struggle,

Of clinging to life,

That small little strand,

Is all I have

To hold onto;

I wish I were as strong as some,

But my soul is weary

And my heart is heavy,

And I can’t seem to hang on any longer.

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
