I Wish You Happiness

Gracious and Loving God,
I open our minds to the goodness
and strength You bring in our lives.
When we searched for beauty
You blessed us with human warmth and Love.
Poured us aplenty with doses of blessed goodness and strength.
You created within us a compassionate
presence that is so much greater than ourselves,
so much greater than our imaginations
could ever take us on our own.
It is then that I remember
God steps forth as the loving arms of Mother.
Giving us true happiness.

I am a retired high school and college professor. The last 10 years of my teaching was as a college professor of literature and writing. I have self-published one book of prayers and meditations and am preparing another book of poetic odes to faith and love. I am truly honored to be welcomed into this group.
