I Wish You Hated Me

I wish you hated me,

because then I wouldn't feel so guilty

for wanting to leave you and give up at times.

I wish you despised me no matter

how much love I gave you

so that I wouldn't be the one to blame.

I wish you told me you didn't care,

because that would be so much more

believable than you telling me

you love me.
