I Wish You Were (Here)

It's been almost a year

But I can still remember the way you walked the way you talked

And the way you looked at me

Oh I wish you were here

You'd be telling me don't give up hope

We're so close to being alone

Together we will never lose each other

I wish you were here

There are times when I think I've seen you

But it's just wishful thinking

The laughter in your eyes, the gleam of your smile, your hair like the wind dancing with fire

Oh I wish you were here

You'd be telling me don't give up hope

We're so close to being alone

Together we will never lose each other

I wish you were here

Maybe someday we'll be together forever

But that ain't right now

But it's fine somehow

And it’s probably because I'm over you

That's why I wish you here

So you could see that I am free and I don't need you in order to breathe

Yeah I wish you were here to see just how happy he's made me

Oh I wish you were here

You'd be telling me don't give up hope

We're so close to being alone

Together we will never lose each other

I wish you were here
