I Wish For Your Wisdom

I wish for your wisdom

What I'd give for your guidance

My heart needs your hand

Ere I falter in fervence.

Not to follow your footsteps

Just lays me down low

Nor to exist in your eyes

Sends cold chills to my soul

The broader the span

Twixt your laughter, your touch

This absence of presence

Nor your words, cause me such

Convolution and doubt

An inception of fear

The irrefutable truth

You are no longer here.

As I stand on the brink

Pondering o’er life’s crossroads

I implore you to help me choose

Which way to go.

Intervene here and now

Ere my humanity outshine

All relationships, logic,

And I fail the divine.

I wish for your wisdom

What I'd give for your guidance

My heart needs your hand

Ere I falter in fervence.
