I Wonder
Some days I wonder,
If I am being heard,
Or if I'm wasting my time,
Word after word,
Do my thoughts impact,
That which surrounds,
Or do they fade,
Swiftly into background,
Does what I say,
Carry from day to day?
Do people see,
The thoughts I send flying free?
Do they listen?
Do they ignore?
Tear them down?
Let them soar?
I wonder what becomes,
Of thoughts new and young,
Do they die,
Fragile in a cruel world,
Or do they fly,
Weightless in a heavy society,
My thoughts join the brew,
Flung into the slew,
Mixed with the rest,
To test,
What ever is upheld,
We shall yield,
Social-Darwinism,
That which survives thrive,
So we wait for dreams to die,
To tell us what color kite to fly.
