I Wonder

What really goes on when I’m not

                       around?

I imagine you running all over

Digging up whatever you can find

    Maybe you just lay around

I’m almost positive you will be

            Looking for food

A small treat to get you by

     Just until feeding time

What really goes on in your mind?

  Are you dreaming of chasing

                   bunnies?

         Or of getting chased

I can see you shaking and whining

         I really wanna know

  What those dreams are truly

                  about

I wish I could understand you

For you are my best friend

Sometimes I want an answer back

But I know this is impossible

For there are things you lack
