I Wonder Why
Living in a city where its hard to step outside,
people of seeing people families cry.
I wonder why we hear the same things from officials and we hear our people cry.
We're tired of all the lies as they hear us cry.
No more pain as young people get taken away.
No more rain coming down the faces of families of young ones.
Whites, Blacks, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, etc. we're all the same.
Different colors, different faces, different struggles, but at the end of the day we all end up in the same places.
I wonder why they tell us everything going to be alright, they will stop the pain they see on families faces, stop the violence in all these places, but as we look around, no matter where we go, it's still the same thing going on in all these places.
Wishing one day we can see a change, where we can all come together and be one peaceful world, but I guess for me to see that I have to sleep, but even in your sleep your best dream can be your worst nightmare, and that's waking up stepping outside and finding out your family member or your bestfriend not there, or even your gone and it feels like a dream, but remember your best dream can be your worst reality.
