I Won't Break

This world is tough
It’s not easy to breath
The air is filled with stuff
So hard to find a relieve

It poisons lungs
It wrecks thoughts
My strength is slung
By raging storms

They try to pull me down
They try to kick me low
Not gonna frown
Cause there won’t be a show

Whatever you try
Whenever I shake
Keep on telling me a lie
Cause I won’t break

Your weak attempts
Not worth a glance
Come step up the game
Cause you won’t have a chance

You like to play secret
You like to be in the dark
All the sudden you’re the weakest
Cause all I need is a spark

To light you up
To make you shake
Turn your roots up
And watch you break

Your organs spilled
Your spirit revealed
Why haven’t you been killed
Are we so unskilled

To keep you alive
In our minds
Not showing our strong side
Not lighting up skies

We have all the power
We have it living in us
To place the deadliest flower
So you can no longer fuss

Whatever you do
Whatever you make
I know that you
Can never make me break

Jon Luke

My poems are written about the good, the bad, everything in between, mostly influenced by my life. If mountain high or valley low, there is always something that drives me, something that keeps me going. As you read my poems you will discover that they are all connected. I hope you will enjoy reading them.
