I wrapped myself in paper and bows

I wrapped myself in paper and bows

You felt my skin on silk and cotton

you felt my body in new countries

Ran across my brain to new territories

Sang me new songs and gifted me tender kisses

You stole me from my skin

Knotted my bones, ripped my throat

My tongue tasted of acid

Reflecting on your love I never felt more alone

Loving you was like tying to die prematurely
