I Write

I write When voices are silenced or prayers unheard When women starve themselves for years just to feel like they deserve the glances of men as they walk on by I write When men declare war based on the color of another man's skin When fathers beat mothers and daughters and sons When people hurt so much that they cannot run So they turn to sex, drugs, and violence I write I write so that you can see as a community and make the change God knows, the only means to an end is when we learn to work together but until then I write Write with me
