I write

I write

As if it is the only way to express my emotions.

My emotions flood my mind as I search for a way to get away from them

As I write I feel as though they are leaving me

Flowing away from my mind on to the paper

The sadness and self loathing I felt exits my body

Until next time

When it comes back even stronger

I can’t cry

That knot in my throat

That sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach

All there

But still incapable of tears

Unable to show the emotions I feel

As if I don’t care

The problem is

I care too much

I have become numb

Dealing with these problems inside of me

Has been too much

There is pain beneath my skin

Flowing to my heart

As it becomes too heavy for my body to handle

So then I write

Because for now this is all I have
