I write because no one understands,

No one understands my cries, my worries, my happiness

so I write,

Do you understand or nah? lol that's what they say where I'm from,

they say your cute or nah? your ugly or nah? Constantly.

I'm a duplicate of them, but not really. Get it? or nah lol

I'm different, so i say or nah? just like them. to be them

But isn't that the problem now?

Teenagers try so hard to "fit in" and if we don't, we feel so alone

so we have to say things, like "or nah" and become them. loosing ourselves along the way

I'm writing these words to speak because I'm misunderstood

so I write

everyone is different, we shouldn't have to be a duplicate to feel invincible .

But yet, I'm constantly hearing "geek" "gullible"

"dumb blond" "white girl" even though I'm black.

Words should not hurt us

We are powerful and strong,

we are here sometimes misunderstood because differences. 

But that's why I write

so you can hear these words i speak
