I write out of fear and I write out of pain,

To get out what's within me and cover up shame,

Hoping someone will hear and feel they aren't alone,

For pain isn't forever, it's just a zone. 

I write out of love and i write out of joy,

To help just one girl or just one boy,

Hoping someone will hear and feel they can be free,

Just from hearing words, may they finally see. 

I write for me and write when I'm not right,

To get feeling right out day and night,

Hoping someone will hear and feel I'm here for them,

And see His love is why my light can't be dim.
