I Write

If not writing then what? If not writing, how do I speak my mind? If not writing, how will anyone dare to listen? I write to live I write to breathe I write to take a stand So many things to do, So many words to say So many ways to express: I am a person worth listening to I have thoughts and ideas AND I WANT TO BE HEARD There’s a voice that tells me to be quiet, To sit still and stay put I WILL NOT LISTEN ANY LONGER I write to express my thoughts even if nobody reads I write to be heard even if nobody listens I write for a reason even if nobody understands
