I Write

Reality Is never As good as Everyone says it is. It’s boring. It’s harsh. It’s anything but fair. Imagination Takes me Places I want To go. It’s exciting. It’s amazing. It also disappears. My written work Is neither just reality Nor only imagination. It’s my mind Adding fun To a boring situation. So I write. I write so that The rain Doesn’t fall. It plunges As if racing to the ground. I write so that The room Isn’t silent. It’s the pinnacle Of beauty In a world That’s lacking in concentration. I write so that When I’m alone And I’ve realized That reality isn’t for me And that when I come back from cloud 9 My imagination hasn’t helped me, I will always have my pen and pad To combine imagination with reality. So I write.
