I Write

My pen hits the paper and words just appear.

Some of them memories
Others my fears
I put words to paper to know how I truly feel

I hide all day with a smile on my face
just to come home and write

A poem with the feeling of lost or sad

The pen to paper is my escape from reality
It's the escape I need I crave
It's a drug that I can't help but try over and over

I'm addicted to the escape
The drift into my head
I'm addicted to the ephoric sensation
Of not lying to myself or of knowing the truth.
I couldn't have done any of it if it wasn't for you...
