I Write

I write, I scribble, I jot, I rrewrite

I draft, I creat, I scrawl, I note.

Drop a line, compose, transcribe, type

Author, address, copy, autograph.

Poetry, stanzas, verses, ballads

ABAB, CDCD.

Words on paper don't just stay,

they move, they breath, they can paint a picture.

Words come alive, they take you away,

to a place you never knew, to a world you couldn't believe.

Incredible, amazing, marvelous, and shocking.

Stunning, wonderful, surprising, and fascinating.

Words on paper allow you to dream,

to see a place you've never seen.

I write when I'm happy, I write when I'm sad,

but surprisingly when I have to write I never can.

Why I write I can't really say,

I just know I do, and it makes my day.
