I can't say when But I started to write poetry To me poetry starts as a feeling To me it’s important It gives me a safe way to express myself Even if I can’t say it out loud I can write it When I can’t give answers I write poems It’s where I can truly say who I am I never have to hide Never second guessing No doubt That is why I write So I can be me
