I Write To Be Me

Why do I write? Well, that’s a tough question I write to be unique I write for expression Poetry is my escape A way to be free With no judgement It’s my way to be me No rules, no guidelines No one telling me it’s wrong I scribble my feelings on paper Only I control the way it flows Only I control the meaning The depth is up to me How it is interpreted Well, that’s up to the one who’s reading But I know how it was written I know how I was feeling Poetry is my way of dealing
