I Write to be Read
I write to be read
To be heard
To be acknowledged through a medium stronger than voice
I write to be understood
In ways I can't through conversation
I write poetry to obtain structure
Stanzas and verses and time and rhyme
I write poetry to grasp freedom
And the pleasures of spontaneity
AH!
I write to remain an individual
To have opinions
To express emotions
I am a poet because it's what I love
I write to be me
