Poetry is not just a word,

Poetry is an outlet,

More than a subject, it's a verb

Poetry is what you see

Poetry is what you do

Poetry is something that's inside of all of you...

Poetry can be my reaction to realty

Poetry can be my escape from reality

Poetry can be my written dreams, or my silent fantasy

Poetry keeps me sane,

Poetry is my therapy,

Poetry talks to me, my poetry listens...

My poetry understands my situations and never judges....

When I need to talk, instead I grab a pen and paper

And just write and write, no need for an eraser....

I write because nothing else matters but me, myself, and my thoughts....
