I Write Because
I feel as if I am alone in this disconnected world.
That this pen, and this paper, and this music, will define this troubled girl.
These words are my outlet and will reach far beyond the barriers of this realm.
And touch the unknown with comfort and an extending hand.
I write because it is my truth and reaches deeper than the depths of me.
It will live way past this mortal life, and become all that is left of me.
These adjectives and metaphors and similes will lead my legacy.
So that in all fairness, there will never be a death of me.
I write because I fall in love with the potential that I have.
Writing brings me back to neutral whether I am anxious, angry, or sad.
I write just to see that beautiful smile on your face.
That nothing and no one in this world can replace.
I hope that my words will light a fire that will never stop burning inside of you.
That will give you all the warmth you need, I hope that they will inspire you.
I write because I am the spokesperson for all those who cannot speak for themselves.
I will not allow your feelings to be ripped apart or filed away on anyone's shelves.
I serve as an open book, I chose to let this ink cover me.
When you take the time to read it, you will see with what values really govern me.
I write for the instrumental, I vibe to the beat.
I write for the people, to give you something to move to but also to make you think.
I live for reason, and to conquer all doubt.
To exploit all fears, and explore all routes.
I write because I want you to believe the unbelievable.
And achieve the unattainable.
I want you to focus on the things that are sustainable.
Ultimately, I write because I love it and I could see no future without it.
Being able to live without my pen, my paper, and my music... I highly doubt it.
