I Write Because...
...people are abused
Emotionally, verbally, physically, mentally
and no abuse is worse than the other.
...people are hurting
Temporarily, perpetually, quietly, loudly
and each hurt should have its own spotlight.
...people are searching
For answers, for purpose, for love, for fulfillment
and every desire needs words in which it can be said.
...it's hard to pin down any one reason for writing
poetry, novels, fiction, non-fiction, comedy, tragedy, romance, heroics, chapters, pages, stop me before I digress.
...everyone has his or her own reason.
...sometimes I don't even know.
...you read.
...it's a gift to be able to thread emotion together into long
thoughts spread over many lines written in the simple
words we are given but often cannot use.
...it's worth it.
