I Write Because I Can

Why do runners run? Why do singers sing? Because they can. A talent is a talent only if it is shared. I never thought I’d spit out my thoughts. I never thought anyone would care. The past has shaped the woman I’ve become. It tells the stories, Of the pains and lessons of being young. If I could run I’d run and if I could sing I would sing. But when I put a pen to paper, I finally feel the movement in my wings. Maybe it’s because I’m good and it makes me feel strong. Writing let’s me tell my story. It assures me I am not wrong. So why do I write? You tell me. It’s the same exact reason as why you read, Because you can.
