I write because I can
Poetry is
difficult for me

I think
in paragraphs not
fragments
I love to write
and accept
the challenges that come

I read poetry more
tha(e)n I write it

Some are riddles,
They confuse
me and seem
pointless
                                  (at times)
Others are full of feeling
without meaning
Some are stories

Poems are short
and sweet
A quick thought
Even long ones feel short
                                    ( It's their nature)
The poet is an artist
Break
ing words and lines
                                 to make you
                          Stop
                Think
 Re-read.

Poetry is a challenge.
And I write because I can.
