I write because words are
I write because words are so much more powerful when they can be read over and over
when they make you cry or put a picture in your head
a poem can awaken your senses, bring your mind back to times
dig up emotions you had long forgotten
words can move or inspire and when its on paper
its not only creative but it can be studied
I like poems that make me think
poems i cant understand unles i look up that intrecate word that simply means hurt
I like poems that make me stop and think about each line
Poems about nature, love, colors, taste, thoughts
poems that make my heart break.
when i can express myself with a whisper its so much more powerful
when 64 letters can be rearanged so many times to make my heart beat a little faster
my mind think harder my soul grow larger its magical, no, more than that
its sacred
Its almost immpossible to explain an arrangement of letters that move you so much
ink that stains your mind, causes you to rethink your life
makes you smile or feel anything at all
poems can simply be scrambled thoughts that cant make sense yet someone finds it beautiful and intriguing
for me the pattern i can flow through in a poem helps me better experience what im trying to say
a poem isn just a way to impress or show affection
it isnt a love beckoning or even a silly jumble of nothing
to me a poem is a silent song of grafite that can sing louder than my stutter
my poems dont hesitate to tell it like it is
I can simply hide the truth in the color of spring
I wrap up my heart ache with a big word your mother cant even understand
my anger transformed into an ocean, hot flames, or vines gripping rotten bones
when i discovered poetry it was an obsessive compulsive childs' heavenly outlet
i could organize all my confused adolecent thoughts into two lines
or two pages of an amaranthine structured and beautiful set of adjectives, verbs, and nouns
and that's why i write.
