I Write To Express

I wrote because my teacher told me to

I smashed jumbled words in between neat lines

trying to create something beautiful

in the end i didn't like the finished product

but "this is good"

"we're entering it in the competition"

what

It wasn't good, it didn't win

but I was intrigued

so I tried again

and again

and again

until I learned how to mold my

thoughts

troubles

worries

fears

into art

until I realized

oh so this is what purpose feels like

so I decided to never put down my pen again
