I write to Survive

I write to survive

In the harsh world I live in

Because emotions

Show weakness

And I become prey

And I pray and pray

For God to come save me

But no answer from him

So I write

And I wait

Until nothing is left

And I don't forget

The pain inside

Others glide

Through life

Idon't

I slide

Over rocks

And hills

And I ache

And anxiously

I wait

And wait

So I write

And write

What would I say

If

One day

Icould say

What I want

And not hide

Behind my smile

I'm a puppet

The world is my holder

So I smile

And I write

In the dead

Of the night

When I am out of sight

And no one can tell me

Why I'm not right

Because I'm wrong

Always wrong

In this harsh world I live

I write to survive

The words they say

Can't taint my paper

Or my keys

So I write

Then I feel alright

I write to feel

To love

To live

To release my pain

I write to survive

I write to live another day
