I Wrote A Letter

I wrote him a letter

I cried on the floor

I called my mother finally

I wanted more

I threw away the pictures, and I

Taught myself to breathe,

And I hear he’s doing just fine

Without me

My nightmares are vivid

Then hope finds its in

I welcome the waves because

I know I won’t win

And I hear he walks a straight line

It’s breaking me he isn’t mine

but at least he’s doing just fine

Without me
