I Wrote This Without Thinking of Anyone

I remember the day when we Were baking cookies it was So humid in the kitchen that my Hair got frizzy and my cheeks got rosy. And I don't know if that was from The heat of the oven or from You. And as the cookies baked we sat and We chatted, about what, I don't know. and all I know is That when you smiled, Your eyes got small And when you laughed, Your head tilted to the left side. I guess we didn't hear the timer, We were so wrap- ped up into each others voices. And when we checked the cookies Their edges were black. I Apologized and said, "We can Always make more". But you Told me there was no need and you Turned to me and said, "I like the burnt edges". And I didn't know if You were talking about The cookies or if you Were talking about Me
