I wrote this for you

This world is so amazing but I do sometimes forget. I think about all the mouths that go unfed, middle aged adults with lonely hands and naked fingers, innocence lost, goodbye kisses, and I take all of that sadness and just let it consume me. But a small flash from a screen, a message from you, a picture, anything. It all goes away. I’m washed clean. I remember that there’s still so much good in this world. So much beauty. I think about you.
