IAM NOT A DEAD POET

HEY MAN IN THE MIRROR
DID YOU HEAR ME?
DID YOU HEAR THE WHISPERS WHEN YOU STEPPED ON STAGE
WHEN THEY CALLED YOU ALL SORTS OF NAMES
SOME SAID YOU'RE WEAK
OTHERS SAID YOU'RE TURKEY
I SAW HOW YOUR SPIRIT, FAINTHEARTED AS I DROWNED IN MY OWN PAIN
WHAT DID I GAIN?
HEY MAN IN THE MIRROR
DID YOU HEAR THEM?
AS THEY WEAKENED YOUR CAPABILITIES TURNED DOWN YOUR ABILITIES
YET ALL YOU WANTED WAS TO TELL A STORY ONE THAT WILL CHANGE PEOPLES LIVES AND PERSPECTIVES
IT WAS FROM THE HEART, BUT WE FAILED………..
BUT I REALIZED WHEN PEOPLE THROW STONES AT YOU PICK EM UP AND BUILD A STRONGER FOUNDATION.
