Iambic Sonnet


MUYE'S IAMBIC SONNET My name is written in white colour ink, That it may be for me the day a link To men of dignity here and there. Remember me in prayers every day. And every month including crescent May, That I become a leader of the saints Anywhere I be, let be that meant. For me and family here and there. Oh, Lord! Do put my me beneath your care. Forgive my fault, no matter how severe. Oh, put my name among the ones revered, And give protection permanent to me, That of evil eyes, I will be free. A . I . Muye. An example of classical poetry written in iambic meter.
