IAMNOT

I am not

Autistic and Dyslexic.

The doctor said, he said it was okay

but my friends, my friends stayed away.

Our mother, our mother stayed

but has ever since

faded, faded away.

I am not

Autistic and Dyslexic!

The teacher said, she said it was okay

but his peers, his peers stayed away.

Our hope, our hope stayed

but has ever since

faded, faded away.

I am not

AutisticandDyslexic!

The therapist said, she said I was not okay

but my mother, my mother simply shyd away.

My anger, my anger boiled

but has ever since

faded, faded away.

Iamnot

AutisticandDyslexic!

My frustration screamed, it screamed, "You are not okay!"

but my brother, my brother simply asked, "In what way?"

My heart, my heart broke

but has ever since

learned, learned to love, his way.

I am not

Autistic and Dyslexic.

But my brother, my brother is

and that, that is okay in every way.

This is a powerful poem. It not only tells, but it shows the reader the emotions that were put into this piece. (It is honestly awesome.) :)
