Icantbreathewhenimwithyou
You kiss my lips-and steal the breath from my bones
You look at me with the fire you've tamed and use for eyes-and my soul melts
You touch me-and I can't feel anything except the gliding of your nails over a hardened flesh
My head must weigh a hundred pounds, from all the things I wish I could say to you
But when I'm around you, you take my breath away
And how can I speak if I can't even breathe?
I could force the words out, but then they wouldn't be genuine
I can't stay quiet, because I need you to know
So I say what I can say, but it's never enough
I can never encapsulate every last ounce of beauty that resides in you
No one ever could
Not with this poem
Not after a thousand years of telling you that I love you
I have so many things I need to say to you
But never enough time to get them all out
So in between each period of conversation
I trust that you know what I'm feeling
I could never accurately describe the sparkle in your eye
The edge of your whispered words in the dark
Or the way you come alive in the night
Or the fire that burns so brightly in your soul, but very few people can see it
I've been kissed by your magic, not that you've put me under any spell; you'd never need one
Just knowing you is magic enough
To lay with you at night, to bleed my heart onto paper just for you to read, to be the one that dares pretend to be worthy of your love
Are not things I take lightly
You've such a weighted character, never something I'd take lightly
I can't ever tell you how much I enjoy your presence in this otherwise dull and void world
So I just have to trust that you can see it
With every passing glance
Every graze of skin
Everytime I move your hair out of your eyes
When I open doors for you
When I refuse to back down from helping you
When I ask you how your day went
Everything I do has at least a little bit of love for you wedged in between even the darkest parts of me
You kiss my lips-and steal the breath from my bones
And though I've never felt so free in my life before,
And you fill me with things I didn't know existed
And you've pumped new life into me
And I will never feel anything but ecstasy for the things you do
I also
