Ice and Fire
She was cold, freezing. Her breath is rigid and lessening each minute. She lays there on the cold ground. Alone and empty, no on to help her. Her body slowly loses temperature. Her heart rate, running at a slower pace. Her skin, pale and icy to the touch. Her thoughts are racing, but she is numb. She knows she has no help. She knows she will die. But wishes she could be saved. No tears come out, for she has already cried them empty. From what came a normal day turned into a night of terror. Her body is now doing whatever it can to keep her warm, it’s suffering. She is comforted by the warmth her body gives her, she can’t feel the cold any more. She is tired and her eyes want to close. Should she give up or stay awake and wait for someone to come for her. But she has been there for some hours. The decision ponders in her head. She lets out a breath. She is tired, tired of fighting, waiting, and living. She now closes her eyes, tries to relax. She finally has given up. Her body responds to her moments, and after her last breath she lets out. She sleeps, her body still and ice cold. Her skin is iridescent and no color comes to her skin. Everything around is still and silent. The moon shines through the trees. Still cold air lays silent. Trees don’t stir and animals don't croak. Everything is dead.
