Ice Cream

We’re like ice cream Drip Drip Drip on a hot summer day before it rains I can feel us melting But I can’t see it I can feel you leaving me But I can’t see it Melting away until we’re nothing but a puddle on the floor Melting away until it’s too late for us to be whole again But the rain will come and wash us away Away from each other Away to a new life How I dream of that day When I no longer have to feel this way Like I am a melted, watered down version of myself We’re like ice cream
