Ice Cream Decisions

Little hands plastered on the windowsill with ice cream printed dreams,

There you go darling, whisper wishes into streams.

All the encouragement in the world, now fists curl.

Where deliberate strokes once occurred, in hindsight there is no twirl.

Hold the paint brush tightly, breathe in once, now your knuckles are paper white in fears.

The canvas drips in tears.

Head spinning, you don't know what you're pinning.

Try to hold on and write down the steps to succeeding, patience thinning.

It's impossible to believe the world is at your feet,

An amusing idea when you can't make up your mind, the drum is off beat.
