The Id
The signs were there, yet why did I refuse to listen?
I was intimidated, yet attracted,
So I pushed back my conscious and reached for it.
It hit me like a storm, and left me crouching in the dark corner.
"Now," it lingers in my mind, "see what you've done."
I look and see:
The pain, the suffering,
The children without father, the children without mother.
No sons, no daughters. No trees, no fruits.
"Now," it repeats, "see what you've done."
I crash onto the ground with a whimper
No one will ever hear.
