I'd Much Rather

With most religion Today The way they deal with sin is Either Old testament Or New testament It's either Death and damnation Or Life and forgiveness I'd much rather Preach the gospel I'd much rather Preach salvation and Love and kindness and ACCEPTANCE I'd much rather People realize that A sinner is a sinner Full stop I'd much rather People realize That we are ALL God's children I'd much rather People END the hate that causes So much despair And Hurt I'd much rather People END the hate That causes So many To turn from God To turn from Life I'd much rather People stop picking parts of ANY holy book to rationalize HATE and forget about t The parts that preach LOVE I'd much rather People recognize And personify That being a sinner Is not something we can change I'd much rather people remove their heads And their sticks From the sand And look around to see How much bad Instead of good They all are doing
