Idealistic Needs

Such a simple word, “need”

Yet can be placed in many forms

Replacement for “want”

For the greedier generations

The human desire for life

Considerably the most natural form,

Yet has been added and made

Into a superficial idea

In the most idealistic thought,

What we all need

Is life.

Not just the paper-cut realism

But life in all aspects of our mind

Breathable serenity and vascular flow

Dabbling in warm hugs of the social scene

Dreaming of the smiles and laughter

Of your purest emotion

Even in abandoned situations

Such as an island in the sea

Or even in a cold dark motel

Seeking a sign of something to save

The sanity you hold on to,

Is the lust for living

Even an abstract explanation

Like the one that I used

To create broken images in your head

Is understandable to every age

Because as human beings

Life is the easiest, but most complex,

Idea we have ever stood for.
