Growing up in a predominantly white neighborhood, at a young age I always felt like I didn't fit in. Outside from home I always felt as if I was different from my peers. Fitting in was even harder for me than anything. In elementary school I always got bullied for being one of the few black girls in my class. Being made fun of what you’re born with is hard enough but I always felt alone. Being born with kinky puffy curly hair, the slightly bigger nose and big lips were never in my favor growing up.
